Opus XIV Royal Tobacco by Amouage is an Amber Woody Spicy Eau de Parfum for women and men, launched in 2022 and created by perfumer Cécile Zarokian. The fragrance belongs to Amouage’s Library Collection and is described by the house as a fragrant journey from Oman to Cuba, connecting royal frankincense with regal tobacco. It opens with frankincense, elemi, cardamom, anise, basil and bergamot, giving the scent a resinous, spicy and aromatic brightness. The heart develops with tobacco, liquorice, lavender, prunol, fenugreek, clove, orange blossom, osmanthus and rose, adding a dark sweet tobacco character with floral and spicy complexity. In the base, frankincense, balsam, benzoin, labdanum, myrrh, vanilla, tonka bean, birch, vetiver, guaiac wood, oud and musk create the strongest identity of the perfume: warm, smoky, ambery, woody and deeply resinous, with a powerful unisex winter presence.
